Learn from Andy’s Vehicle Loan Mistake!

We here at the MoneyAisle blog are big fans of the NBC sitcom “Parks and Recreation”, and enjoyed last night’s season finale immensely. But since we’ve always got auto loans and refinancing on the brain, one moment stuck out for us.

Resident show nincompoop extraordinaire Andy (played by Chris Pratt) had just purchased a new motorbike, and was bragging to the audience about the great rate he’d gotten. “12%, that’s like the highest rate out there!”

Funny stuff, but also cautionary: if nincompoop Andy (I just like typing the word nincompoop. I’m going to do it again: nincompoop.) had used MoneyAisle to negotiate his auto loan rate, he wouldn’t be stuck with “the highest rate out there” – he’d have the credit unions and banks in our network bidding to get him the lowest rate, and save him some money in the process. Check it out for yourself: run an auto loan or refi auction now.

We now return to your regularly scheduled MoneyAisle blog.
