Chamber’s question time for candidates
Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce is organising hustings-style events in all 10 local authorities for businesses.
The events will give firms a chance to quiz the candidates from the main political parties on where they stand on key business issues and policies.
GM Chamber chief executive Angie Robinson said: “This election takes place against the backdrop of one of the worst recessions in decades.
“Our job as a Chamber is to ensure our members have the full facts so they can make an informed decision when they go to the polling station.”
The series of events begins on April 14 in Salford and run until April 30 in Oldham. As well as posing their questions directly at these events, the chamber is also inviting members to ask questions via Twitter and by email at election2010@gmchamber.co.uk
For more information, or to book your place at one of the hustings events contact the Chamber on 0161 237 4451.
