Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Awards finalists announced
Thirteen business leaders from the Greater Manchester area have been short-listed as regional finalists in Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year awards 2010.
They are among 112 shortlisted across the UK who will compete at regional award events in June.
Regional winners will go on to vie for the title Ernst & Young ‘UK Overall Entrepreneur Of The Year’ 2010 – currently held by Michael Spencer, chief executive of ICAP – at a ceremony held in London in October.
The Greater Manchester finalists are: Ian Langley, of Air Energi Group, Manchester; Scott Fletcher, of ANS Group, Manchester; Oliver Cookson, Cend, Manchester; Lindsay Hill, of Citation, Wilmslow; John Roberts, of DRL, Bolton; Simon Scott, of Countrywide Consortium, Cheadle Hulme; Michael Edelman, Nanoco Group, Manchester; Julian Niman, Nimans, Salford; Michael Oliver, Oliver Valves, Knutsford; Jamie Plevin, R Plevin & Sons, Ashton under Lyne; Simon Showman, Ultimate Products, Chadderton; Karen Haslam, Verna Group International, Bolton; and Richard Tang, Zen Internet, Rochdale.
Ernst & Young’s Simon Allport, senior partner of the firm’s Manchester office, said: “Entrepreneur of the Year recognises the people behind many of the world’s most innovative businesses.”
