Kent State University to remove ‘interim’ from title of College of the Arts dean
Kent State University has decided to make John Crawford’s position permanent as the dean of the College of the Arts.
Dr. Crawford has served as the college’s interim dean since January 2009 and will take the post permanently on May 1 after competing in the university’s national search for a dean. He also is a dance professor.
He previously was the associate dean for graduate affairs in the College of the Arts from 2006 to 2009 and was director of Kent State’s School of Theatre and Dance from 1996 to 2006.
