Parcel2Go wraps up honour
Delivery business Parcel2Go has carried off a national honour.
The Bolton-based company was named online business of the year at a ceremony in London.
The Fast Growth Business Awards recognise performance across sectors including innovation, green initiatives and best use of technology.
Parcel2Go, founded in 2000 by Fil Adams-Mercer, who last month appeared on TV’s The Secret Millionaire, his son Richard and business partner Steve Kramer.
It operates as an internet portal so individuals and firms can arrange deliveries of parcels by companies such as FedEx, DHL and CityLink.
The company is based in a former textile mill and employs 40 staff.
Around 800,000 customers use its services a year.
Turnover this financial year is expected to be around £16m, up from £11.5m.
