Spinningfields is top of the blocks
Two buildings in the Spinningfields business and leisure district of Manchester city centre have won regional acclaim.
In the British Council for Offices’ northern regional awards, the Spinningfields gateway 1 The Avenue – which will be home to Armani and Flannels stores as well as restaurants, bars and offices, took the best commercial workplace accolade.
Law firm Pinsent Masons’ offices in 3 Hardman Street took the best fit-out of workplace category.
The firm merged two offices into one, larger open-plan operation which was commended as an excellent example of how a business can work with designers to create a more flexible and dynamic working environment.
Both winning schemes will go forward to the national awards, which will be presented in October.
