Technology cash grants from Business Finance Solutions

Manchester alternative finance provider Business Finance Solutions , has £950,000 of European Regional Development Funds to grant to technology firms.

The funding is part of a larger grant of £1.9m to help businesses in South Manchester, the city region and Cheshire who have failed to secure funding from mainstream lenders.

Half of those funds are allocated to technology businesses and BFS targeting firms that have completed the research and development stage of their venture and have products ready for the market.

Manchester-based Gatszu. com has already been handed £50,000 after the initial launch of its online recruitment brokerage company.

Gatszu.com connects employers to a nationwide network of recruitment agencies and allows employers to reduce their recruitment costs and access to a wider pool of candidates.

Paul Breen, fund operations manager at BFS, said: “Half of the European Regional Development Funds we have received need to be allocated to small and medium-sized technology companies, so we are appealing for those that have tried to access finance from mainstream banks and have a workable business plan to come forward.”
