URA tender for commercial site in CBD area
THE Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) launched the commercial site at Robinson Road /Cecil Street for sale by public tender on Tuesday.
Located within the Central Business District (CBD), the 0.29ha site – which can generate about 32,000 sqm of gross floor area (GFA) – is envisioned to be a good-quality office development.
At least 80 per cent of the GFA will be earmarked for office developments, URA added, with the remaining GFA for additional office use or other uses permitted under the commercial zoning.
The site – within walking distance to Tanjong Pagar MRT station – prominently fronts Cecil Street and Robinson Road, with the proposed commercial development up to 35 storeys in height to enjoy ‘excellent visibility’, URA said.
