US buyout for chemical specialist Polartech
A Trafford company that supplies specialised chemicals for use in the metalworking industry has been bought by an American firm.
Polartech, which has a turnover of more than £30m, has been accquired by the Afton Chemical Corporation of Virginia for an undisclosed sum.
The agreement includes Polartech’s Trafford Park headquarters. Afton will take on 130 full-time employees in the deal.
