Video – GM Chamber celebrates innovation with new awards
The president of Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce is on the hunt for the region’s most innovative business.
Dr Moneeb Awan has launched the Innovation Awards in a move to celebrate Greater Manchester’s most forward-thinking and dynamic enterprises.
Dr Awan, an award-winning entrepreneur, said: “This award is not dependent on business size, turnover or a track record of previous wins – it is open to all whether they are a multinational or one-man band. We want to hear from businesses with a great story to tell that have innovative thinking at the root of their success.
The innovation could be a service, product or business process, but the key is that stands out and delivers a demonstrable return on investment.”
The competition is a joint venture between Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce and public relations agency Weber Shandwick.
It is open to businesses across Greater Manchester. To enter, log on to gmchamber.co.uk/innovation. Deadline for entries is May 28.
The winner of the Innovation Award will receive digital consultancy from Weber Shandwick worth £5,000.
Weber Shandwick digital strategist Andy Poole, said: “Digital technologies and communications are reshaping business propositions. The award will celebrate business innovation to make the region even more competitive.”
