Inspired by their own dog with a bad habit of jumping into the front seat of their car, founders and brothers Kitter and Gordie Spater were inspired to create Kurgo. Influenced by their excitable dog, the first prototype of the Backseat Barrier was developed, eventually becoming the first of many travel and safety products to combat the problems dog owners face when travelling with their beloved pets.
